Horus Development & Consulting joined forces with Monte-Carlo SBM, Fairmont Monte Carlo, and Incentive Concept Monaco to represent Monaco at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific 2024. The prestigious tradeshow, held from July 1 to 4 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, attracted a record-breaking 650 accredited international buyers from across Asia and the Pacific, making it the largest edition to date.
Benoit Badufle, Monaco’s Regional Director, highlighted the environmental challenges of such events in an interview with TTG Asia. “Exhibitions are one of the most wasteful segments in the hospitality industry because a large fraction of the materials used to build the booths are discarded at the end of the event,” he stated.
In response, Monaco’s delegation prioritized sustainability for their participation. Benoit, along with Yew Zhi Heng, Monaco’s Marketing Manager, partnered with Zeno Exhibition—a Singapore-based firm specializing in eco-conscious booth designs—to bring their vision of a low-impact presence to life.
The booth was a testament to Monaco’s commitment to combining luxury with sustainability. Constructed using sustainably sourced materials, it featured modular, reusable furniture and aluminum wall fixtures as a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional temporary walls. This innovative approach not only minimized waste but also captured the attention of attendees, drawing compliments and sparking conversations throughout the busy three-day event.
By setting this example, Monaco underscored its leadership in integrating sustainability into luxury experiences, paving the way for greener practices within the travel and hospitality industries.
