Renovated in 2012, this is the place to rub shoulders with authentic Monegasques and taste their local specialties. Situated at Place d’Armes at the foot of Monaco’s Princely Palace, the food court is complemented everyday by a nice wet market where stalls showcase flowers with multiple colours but also fragrant and tasty fruits and vegetables.
The halls under the arcades and in neighbouring buildings include fishmongers, pasta makers, butchers, bakers and caterers. Visitors also enjoy the many communal tables on site. Since the spring of 2018, it is open in the evening from 6pm to 9pm for aperitifs, pre-show snacks or to take away for dinner at home.
Do not miss to try the socca, a local delicious and crispy pancake made with chickpea flour and olive oil, to enjoy over a Biere de Monaco crafted at the Brewery of Monaco situated 150m below on the Port Hercules.
