Inside Look at the new Novotel Monte-Carlo

Entering the illuminated and spacious lobby of the newly-renovated Novotel Monte-Carlo, guests can immediately feel the hotel’s “Riviera feelings”, with the mirrored ceilings reflecting its luxurious pool glistening under the Mediterranean sun.

In 2007, Novotel Monte-Carlo took over an iconic building and location, once a palace hotel called Prince de Galles Monte Carlo, later bought by Monaco’s national broadcasting service Radio Monte-Carlo. Strategically located within 5 minutes’ walk from the Monaco Monte-Carlo train station and the Place du Casino, Novotel Monte-Carlo offers a modern and comfortable hospitality experience in the Principality. For its new concept, Novotel collaborated with Cabinet Saguez & Partners with Didier Gomez, to develop a more resort and relaxed atmosphere, echoing the hotel’s brand promise: “The time is yours”.

Descending into the open-concept Azzura Bar and Azzura Kitchen, guests are greeted with large French windows that have a view over Monte-Carlo and Port Hercules. As the main restaurant of Novotel, Azzura Kitchen offers a very pleasant “food sharing” experience (we tried and loved it), including the iconic dishes of Monaco such as barbajuans and pissaladieres, as well as classic Mediterranean dishes from the French and Italian rivieras. The feeling of conviviality offered to guests make it a great choice for relaxed business lunches, but also for dinners amongst friends or family members.

An understated luxurious stay filled with mellow vibes from the Cote d’Azur, Novotel Monte-Carlo follows the global AccorHotels Planet 21 initiative. In Monaco, it also welcomes its guests to participate in their sustainability efforts by installing recycling bins in all the guest rooms, allowing them to contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint of their stay.
