Monaco Government Tourist Bureau Asia held their roadshow in Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and Indonesia (Jakarta) in October. This roadshow was planned specifically for the VIP clientele in these cities, including business owners, chairpersons of Multi-national companies based in these cities, and chief editors of major publication groups. To ensure the connection with the most suitable clients, Monaco partnered with the Consulate of Monaco in both countries, with the addition of Air France, OpenAsia Group (Chopard, Patek Philippe…), Louis XIII Cognac, Maserati and Le Media (Part of LeBros Holdings) in Vietnam and Tatler Magazine in Indonesia.
All partners offered their best clients to be invited to an exclusive VIP Dinner in the respective cities hosted by Monaco, and in particular, there was a short tasting session by Louis XIII Cognac (the most prestigious Cognac in the world) for some of the invited guests. Throughout the dinner, videos of Monaco were played in the background to create opportunities for story-telling around the tables. A special collaboration video with Maserati was also played during the event.
Vietnam and Indonesia are clearly the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia in the last few years. With higher average incomes, outbound travellers from these countries have also been increasing in greater-than-average rates. The tourism promotion of Monaco in these countries is timely to capture the interests of key opinion leaders and other industry influencers alike. Gathering the prestigious brands under the umbrella of Monaco also reinforces Monaco’s status as the most prestigious worldwide luxury brand and destination.
