Information
Known for its rich history and picturesque scenery, Monaco invites you on a visual journey to explore the second smallest country in the world. Monaco Film Festival will be presenting a curated list of 13 spectacular films, showcasing the beautiful scenes of Monte-Carlo and the gorgeous natural landscapes. From vintage titles to animated films, Monaco Film Festival hopes to highlight Monaco through the last 60 years and undoubtedly entice you to discover and stay in Monaco, the crown jewel of the French Riviera.
Enjoy films such as Grand Prix, La Fille de Monaco, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, and the famous To Catch A Thief, the movie that sealed the marriage of the century between Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly. Learn about the stories behind each film and how they intertwine with Monaco.
Monaco Film Festival is jointly organised by Alliance Francaise de Singapour, Singapore Film Society, Capitol Theatre, Bomanbridge Media, Air France, with the support of APM Monaco, Creme Simon, Bottles XO and Capella Singapore.

Synopsis: This Powell And Pressburger classic is widely considered to be one of the greatest films ever made and winner of two Oscars. Her life becomes split between her simple human passion and artistic devotion to her profession. The film contains ballet sequences of stylistic mastery, and is visually one of the most innovative and beautiful works of cinema ever created.

Synopsis: Based on Romola Nijinsky's "Last Years Of Nijinski", this biography tells the story of Vaslav Nijinsky, one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time. Set in the early 1910s at a time of passionate artistic experimentalism, the young and brilliant but headstrong Nijinsky is the premier danseur and aspiring choreographer of the Ballets Russes. Sergei Diaghilev, who is famous, influential and possessive, manages the company. As Nijinsky's dancing career reaches its peak, tension between him and Diaghilev heightens, as the young ballerina Romola de Pulsky determinedly attempts to draw the increasingly mentally unstable Nijinsky away from Diaghilev.

Synopsis: Directed by Christine Oberdorff for Ushuaïa TV, the documentary pays tribute to Monaco's Princes long lasting personal engagement for ground breaking technologies. From Albert I of Monaco, father of Oceanography, to the current Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco, from the launching of a blimp from Monaco's shores to a prototype helicopter lifted off the ground for the first time inside the Oceanographic Museum in the beginning of the 20th century, the film also recounts modern saga such as the Solar Impulse adventure, the development of Venturi electric vehicles and the hydrogen ship 'Energy Observer' set to complete its tour of France in Monaco. Accompanying Prince Albert II of Monaco, Ms Oberdorff discovers these great technological adventures initiated or supported by the Principality in the last 100 years.

Vintage vs. Contemporary Exhibition
Can't get enough of Monaco? We invite you to an exclusive photo and art exhibition, showcasing never-seen-before vintage posters of films shot in Monaco that have been distributed all around the world in the course of the last 70 years. At the same time, step into the contemporary, where we showcase the published photographs of Asian Superstar Miss Lin Chi-ling, as she tours around Monaco in the 2017 August issue of Vogue Taiwan. Visitors will be bedazzled by the glamour of Monaco through time, and be truly impressed with the crown jewel of the French Riviera.
