As the current President of Singapore SKAL chapter (which membership is made of 100 executives from the hospitality and the tourism industry at large), Benoit participated in the SKAL Asia Annual Congress which was hosted this year in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It was an opportunity to experience the renowned Bahraini hospitality which is proudly provided by Bahrainis themselves when many of the surrounding countries employ a foreigner-only work force to run its tourism industry. As a result of the key role which they play in their national tourism, Bahrainis are very open and welcoming, multilingual (Arab, Farsi, English and Russian are widely spoken) and warmhearted with visitors, as exemplified by the number one of Bahrain’s tourism industry His Excellency Shaikh Khalid Bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and by Mr. Mohamed Buzizi, board member of the Gulf Hotel and host of the SKAL Asia conference.
